Private vs. Public Accounts
Private vs. Public Accounts
All accounts are private by default. This means:
Your profile won’t be searchable on the web.
Only people you accept as followers can see your content (unless you make a poll public).
Any private polls you create will not be uploaded to the blockchain.
Switching from Public to Private
If your account started as public and you want to switch to private:
Go to your profile.
Tap the icon in the top right corner to open the Command Center.
In the menu, select Visibility Settings.
At the top, you’ll see a toggle for Private Account.
When you tap it, you’ll see a disclaimer:
“Only your followers can see your private polls, but you can still create public ones. This won’t change your default setting for who can message or tag you.”
If you agree, tap Yes, switch.
Switching from Private to Public
If you want to switch from private to public:
Follow the same steps above to reach Visibility Settings.
Tap the toggle to turn Private Account off.
You’ll see a disclaimer:
“Anyone will be able to see your polls. This won’t change who can message or tag you.”
Confirm the change to switch to a public account.
